alright, here's the history of bug bites for me:
up until i was about 9, if i got stung by a bee, bitten by an ant or a mosquito, i would just get tiny little welts -- similar to the mosquito bites!.!. [which i think was normal!?]
when i was 9, bee stings and ant bites started to make me swell up like a balloon; so much that i needed an epipen to make the swelling go down!.!.
about a week ago [i'm 19 now], i was at a party wearing a halter top, and i got bitten all to h e l l on my upper back, and the bites were so itchy and painful that i had to use benedryl gel to make the itching less intense!. they also had grown [in diameter on my back] bigger than a half-dollar!.!.
now, i just thought that maybe since there were so many that it may have just been that which made them so big!.!.
yesterday, i got bitten on my arm, and it's swelling really bad!.!. it's on my left arm, on the meaty part of my forearm, and when i straighten my arm out it's about as big as my elbow!.!.

You definitely need medical intervention for your allergies!. There are a lot of things you can buy OTC now, such as Zyrtec or Claritin, but you need to check with your doctor first!. Allergies can be very annoying, and they can also be life-threatening if you were to go into anaphylactic shock!. I'm not trying to scare you, but you really need medical help!. The big red and itchy welts you describe are hives!. I know, because I get them too!. I use benadryl cream and that seems to get rid of them!. Your doctor may prescribe that, or hydrocortisone cream, which is less effective!. There is a medication called Prednisone which also fights allergies, but it has a lot of side-effects!.
