No question is dumb at all!. You are a good knower of biology I am pretty sure my friend, and I 'll answer in biological-point of view, (however, a little "dumby" way)

So to answer!.!.

Every organ biologically has its own role to perform!.!.!.!.isn't it!? :) :)

1!. MOUTH--> to ingest food and to chat :)
2!. Tongue--> to taste and not only:)
3!.Skin---> to feel touch, and sense
4!.EAR--> to hear
5!. EYE---to see!.!.!.!.!.and so on; :)
6!. BRAIN--> just a minute!.!.!.!.skip it:)

AND again!!!
brain to what!.!.!.I forgot!.!.!.oh! yes!!

6!.BRAIN ---> ONLY to think
And THUS, if you are able to think
then you are able to use yr mouth to drink

CONCLUSION!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

USE your mouth to drink!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. WATER!
LET your nose remain only to!.!.RESPIRE!!
no hurt!.!.!.no pain and be healthy for EVER:):)

The nasal lining or membrane is very thin and the respiratory tract isn't designed for anything other than trapping dust particles and O2!. Water isn't supposed to go into your lungs either, so your nose automatically tries to get it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know, but it is so annoying!
Whenever I go swimming, this always happens to me!. Water goes up my nose and I feel like it's coming out my eye or something!. Not so litteral!.!.!. but my eyes hurt!.
My friends claim to not experience this!Www@Answer-Health@Com
