My brother had to have his leg removed due to a blood clot!. For seven days after, he was given medicine to prevent his body from trying to "regrow" a new leg!. It would have caused major calcium deposits and problems with his healing!. The doctor told him that it is the body's natural response to try to repair any injuries to the body!. So the answer I would say is "yes", because it is a cell and cells can be regrown!. There is all kind of info on this on the web, just google "bone regrowth"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
