Answers:
scientist's believed that it was used to help digest leaves, grasses and bark!. also Koala's, cows, and other animals that eat grasses and leaves etc have an appendix!. We don't need it any more because we have developed, so it has shrinked!.
all it does these days is cause appendicitis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The Appendix has recently been shown to defend good intestinal bacteria in cases when a disease can wipe them out!. The appendix has many infection-fighting lymphoid cells, suggesting that it is part of the immune system!.

It is still advisable for the organ to be removed when it becomes inflamed as failure to treat the condition will likely result in death!. The organ is not vital to survival!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the appendix is a vestigial organ ie, it has no purpose but is there because it might have been used in the bodies of our ancesters!.!.!.!.it is a useful organ for herbivores but useless in humans!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

We were eating every thing raw at one time, so a very strong enzymes and secretions were needed to digest these uncooked items!. Possibly appendix may have produced such secretion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
