Question: Does it sound like he's on something!?
A guy I know hardly ever eats!. He will eat hardly anything for days and then get the dry heaves!. I am afraid that he is on something (drugs) that makes this happen!. Could it be anything else!? I am afraid to ask about it and be wrong, but I am pretty worried about him!. What do you think!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

one of my friends smokes weed!. and she wouldn't eat for a week, and then left me to smoke weed, then came home and started dry heaving!.
so i believe it's just deprivation of food,
but well you might want to check for like loss of smell (snorting)
or like little spots on his arms or inbetween his toes!.
not like spots but puncture holes (heroin)

He could be very anxious; anorexic or on drugs!.
Why don't you just say "I'm not sure what's wrong, but something seems wrong because you hardly eat & get the dry heaves "(any other behavior you can point to), "what's going on, I'm concerned about you!."
