I have a bad habbit of breaking things when i am mad. Plz help?!


Question: I have a bad habbit of breaking things when i am mad!. Plz help!?
I get mad over the smallest things!.
Like when i forget to see my favorite TV shows i break my stuff (mainly pencils)
when i am cooking food for my family and it doen't turn out the way i planned i break things!.
It is the worst habbit i have ever had, but i don't know how to stop!?
Don't say do something else because i tryed that ove 4 million times!
Right when i didn't work i broke something!.

I am asking this on here because i am afraid it would get worse and worse!.!.!. like breaking my laptop or my wrist watch (my grampa gave it to me along time ago b4 he died) and even items that are not mine!.

Chill out!. you just deal with stress in a horrible way!. instead of using a physical force to deal with something think like this:

One day your car wont start!. you have 2 choices
1!. Get mad and burn the car for insurance and going to jail for insurance fraud or

2!. You decide that there is no sense in getting all angry getting all worked up about something as breaking stuff wont solve anything!. What could you do to make it start!? Your out of gas and you grab the extra from your shed!. Your on your way to work!

Point being that when you get angry you think poorly and you need to think what to do to fix this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am the same way so i made this lil ball lol and it helps me alot =] you should really try it sometime take a ballon and fill it with rice or flour it works, so yeah let me know how it goes =]

I had a girlfriend or two that had the same problem!. What broke them of the habit was focusing on the fact that they had to clean the stuff up after they broke or threw it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like a classic symptom of naomi campbell syndrome - break stuff when you dont get your way!.
You will need to try some anger management solutions to your angwy pencil snappin probwem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it might be panic attacks or kinda!. if u alredy tried the whole count to ten and breath in breath out things u should talk to ur doc and see if he can get u some zantac or a substitution for itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Anger is not optional, everyone has it!. You are responsible for your behavior!. Having said that, I discovered my rage (like PMS, hatred is my main symptom) had its source in chemicals in the food I was eating!. No more processed stuff and I had to watch out for certain fruits!. Before I would binge on plums or figs (high is salycilates and amines) and felt out of control!. I don't feel that way anymore!. It's also a good idea to journal your feelings so they don't build up and explode!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok, so you admit you have a problem, that is the first step!.
next is just tell yourself that you have control, because you do!. and you already took the first step!. The next thing is to look to understand why you think you need to punish yourself by breaking something!.
Get a journal and write in it the last 10 times you broke something and what you broke and what caused you to break the thing that you broke!. Then write for each one - 5 postive alternative actions to handle the feeling at the time that you might have done that would not have broken things!. Next time you feel like breaking something, excuse yourself from the situation and write it in your journal what are the circumstances and did you handle it differently, how, why, what would you do next time to handle it better!. You might want to read famous people's autobiographies, you will find that successful people have had to overcome their personal challenges!.
