Question: Getting shots tomorrow! How can I make them not hurt as much!?
Tomorrow Im getting tetnus, meningitis, gardasil, chicken pox, hepititus a, and hepititus b and I am really scared!. I have been freaking out the past few days since my mom told me I have to get all those shots!. Im only 12 how bad is it going to hurt!? Which ones hurt the most and how big are the needles!? Does the medicine sting when it goes in!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had to get a few shots in one day too!.!.!. i was a little freaked out too but the best thing to do is try your best to say calm but most importantly, turn away from the needle!.!. it does not hurt at all, its mostly your imagination right before you get the injections!.!. it feels like a prick and lasts less than 2 seconds!.!. dont be scared! good luck! =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Best thing to do is not to think about it!. the meningitis ones to make your arm hurt a bit afterwards but its nothing really!. The Tetnis injection when I had it done did hurt but then again I was only 11 at the time haha!. If you are really worried about it, let your parents know, let the doctor know and ask your parents if you can bring a friend along for the ride!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
1!. look at the needle as it goe sin and tell yourself it is OK
2!. make sure the doc puts a bit of pressure on the entry point and slides in underneath
3!. make sure the entry point is disinfected with some fast evaporation alcohol to freeze the spot a bit more!.!.!.

Talk to the people giving the shots!.!.!.!.!.!.tell them it bothers you!.!.!.and they should have some thoughts!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.when I was in the military they used air guns for that many shots!.!.!.!.!.they are a lot faster!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.try and relax!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.lay down if you have to and let them do it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.sleep right thuough the show!.:) Don't take it to serious!.!.!.!.!.!.!.it will soon be done!.!.!.!.!.!.!.then what we going to talk about!? laterWww@Answer-Health@Com
it depends on every individual person if it hurts or not!.!.!.in my own experience the needle only pricks a bit and when the needle is taken out again then it hurts a Little but!.!.dont worry because the injections will protect you from various diseases!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Its ok really =) I am TERRIFIED of needles everytime i need to get a shot and im 21 lol!. I find that it doesnt hurt as much if you dont look at it!. It helps a LOT for me!. And it never hurts as much as i expect it to!. Just dont look at it!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
It will hurt some, but not as much as when you were younger!.!.
You skin TENDS to get less sensative to pin-point pains as you get older!. It still will hurt, just not as much!.

make a glass of ice water and b4 each shot freeze that spot with the ice and all u will feel is a littletiny pinch thats wat i did and take a shower is cold water it worksWww@Answer-Health@Com
