I am 19 and was just diagnosed with mild scoliosis after experiencing a lot of back pain!.!.!.I just had an MRI today and don't know if anything is causing the problem!. What are the short and long term effects of having mild scoliosis!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

At 19 you are probably finished growing!. If your curve is below 40 degrees, it is not likely to get worse later in life!. However, if the curve is greater than 40 degrees, it is likely to continue to get worse by 1-2 degrees each year!. If this is not prevented, the you'll eventually be at risk for heart and lung problems or problems with carrying a pregnancy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
