Answers:
you go to the lab and take roll up your sleeve or take off your top and put on a gown!.!.!.then the lab tech will have you put your arm on a rest or table and take a stretchy strip of rubber and wrap it around your arm above the crook of your elbow!. It will be very tight so that the veins will pop out!. Then the lab tech will put on gloves and feel your veins!. If he can't feel well enough he may rip off the tip of his glove!. If he still can't feel, he may repeat on the other arm and then even go back and forth!. While feeling for the vein, the tech will ask you to pump or squeeze your fist!. This also helps your veins stand out more!. Then the tech will put a needle into your arm and may turn it around a bit searching for the vein!. This can hurt and if it does let them know so they will stop! If the vein is hit right off, the tech will snap a test tube onto the needle and the blood will flow right through the needle into the test tube!. Depending on how many tests are ordered the tech may snap off and on many test tubes!.
some tests come back within a few minutes or hours and some take days or weeks!. I am not a tech or doctor, I've just had lots of blood drawn!.
Are you getting enough nutrition!? Are you possibly anorexic and they are worried because you aren't gaining weight or are even losing weight!? If this is the problem, hon, then I suggest you check out www!.foodaddictsanonymous!.org or www!.overeatersanonymous!.org!. I know that may sound counter-intutitive but the disease of food addiction is just a disease of an irrational relationship w food!. And hon, it is a disease, it is not just a lifestyle choice though it can begin that way!. I am praying for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

so what you'll most likely do is go to the clinic,
get checked in,
talk to the doctor and he'll decide what kind of tests you need!.
then he'll tell the assistant or nurse or whoevers drawing
your blood so they can collect how much is needed!.
it could be as simple as a finger poke, or most likely
they'll probably just draw a couple tubes' worth from your arm!.
then they'll probably send them to an outside lab,
and the results should be back in a couple days :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

ive had blood taken many times and im only 14 (i tend to hurt myself a lot on accident)!. its no biggy, just dont watch when they take it!. they rap a rubber band around your arm (sometimes make you squeeze a stress ball) stick you with a needle (not that big) and suck blood outa you!. it really isnt bad at all!. what i do is when they stick you ( like a ppinch) i pinch my leg hard and then im focussed on that instead of them taking my blood!. and it depends, anywhere from 2 hours (serious situations) to around 48 hours max!.

Hope this helps!!!
dont worry, hang in there, and it will be over before you know anything went onWww@Answer-Health@Com

I was crying my first time from nerves, but it was nothing!. They put a rubber band around your arm to find the vain and then they take the needle and put it in the vain!. It doesn't hurt that much at all!. If you have a thing with blood don't look!. But basically its nothing!. Probably 48 hours for results!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they prick a needle in your arm (under your elbow) suck some blood out!. they send it to your doctor and he/she will tell you your results next time you see him/her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
