I fall asleep on toilet in middle of night and feet go numb, can't walk.?!

Question: I fall asleep on toilet in middle of night and feet go numb, can't walk!.!?
Last night I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom but I fell asleep on the toilet!. I woke up with my shoulders resting against my kneecaps and my arms hanging to the floor!. My feet were numb, due to my position on toilet and I didn't notice the clock to see how long I was on there like that, but it must've been pretty long for my feet to go to sleep!.

I then tried to get up, but my feet were numb and I couldn't feel the floor under my barefeet due to the numbness!. I tried shaking my feet and wiggling my toes to wake my feet up and then I talked myself into realizing I'm not a cripple, my feet DO work and I steadied myself and got up from the toilet hanging on to the bathroom sink and shook my feet some more to wake them up!.

How do I prevent myself from falling asleep on the toilet in the middle of the night!? This has happened about six times before to me in the past four months!. It scares me to death each time!. Is this preventable!? Tips!? Tricks!? advice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Get more sleep! You must be exhausted!. It probably wouldn't hurt for you to go see your doctor!. Do you fall asleep easily at other times!? Maybe you have a sleeping disorder or something!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

good grief, either 1) you need more sleep !!!
or 2) you have a problem!.
either way, this is NOT normal and i would consult with your dr!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You appear to have a sleep disorder, perhaps sleep apnea!. Sleep apnea restricts the amount of oxygen your body gets, so you are overly tired from trying to get in enough oxygen, you can't get adequate rest and are likely to fall asleep in strange places and at strange times!.
Go to the doctor and tell him/her the problem!. You sound as if a sleep study would benefit you!.
And yes, the reason why you can't walk is that sitting on a toilet for an extended period of time cuts off circulation to the legs as well as puts pressure on the nerves, so when you wake up, you feel numb, can't support your weight and have tingling and all that stuff from your limbs falling asleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
