Question: My wasp bite won't stop swelling!!?
I got bit by a wasp 2 days ago on my thumb and since then it's swelled!.!.ALOT!. I bearly have feeling in my thumb and my parents have checked for the stinger!. I got bit 3 times in 3 different places and all of the bites are getting better, minus the thumb!. What should I do!? My dad says if it gets any worse--I'm going to the ER!.!.!.so help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are having a reaction to it because of it being on such a tender area!. Start taking Benadryl, as directed on the box!. It is an antihistamine!. If you go to the hospital they will give you an injection of Benadryl!. It may take a few days since you did not start taking it the day you got stung!. Put ice on the bite to reduce swelling!. 20 minutes every hour for 24 hours!. You have very little feeling in it because of the swelling!. Use the baking soda paste that was mentioned by Janet T in between the ice usage!. I put a paste of baking soda on it and a band-aid over the paste to hold it there until the paste dries up and falls out of the band-aid!. Both the ice and baking soda should make it feel better by tomorrow but it may take a couple of days to get better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Get some mosquito bite stick stuff, or my dad and grandpa even says that putting chewing tobacco on it helps!. I got bit by a wasp on Wednesday above my ankle, and its not swelling much at all, but all I used was the bug bite stick!. And I would go ahead and have it checked out if I was you, rather check it out sooner than later!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Take a COPPER penny and tape it to the sting site with tape or a band-aid!. It should start to work in about 15 min!.!. If that doesn't work then try making a paste out of baking soda and water and applying the paste to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
