I hope I can help!. I used to sleep walk for years after a very traumatic auto accident, and have a degree in counseling!.

You have changed your sleeping habits - later hour, new bed, and a freaky email!. First, forget that email!. Whatever it was, was said based on an assumption or coincidence, not in reality, however "real" it may seem!.

Get back to going to bed at your usual time, in your usual fashion!. That includes not eating, drinking, reading, watching anything unusual!. (I discovered an ice cream I really loved, ate it before bed, and had crazy dreams!. It was full of carbs, sugar, and choco - no more evening ice cream!.)

Your new bed - is it in a different place than your old one!? Are you sleeping in a new direction!? A new smell!? New bedding!? Any changes like this can cause changes in your sleep for a few weeks!.

I am glad you have a partner who will tell you to go back to sleep! Some people talk off and on all night, like my son!. Our brains work on "issues" while we sleep, and it often accounts for the "ahah" factor later when we are awake!.

I also suspect that that this itself is really bothering you!. Let it go!. It's not the problem - just a symptom of something else, some uncertainty, anxiety, stress or just change!. Change itself is a stressor!. Going back to your routine should solve it!.
