Question: Why does everyone say that it's bad to get your ears pierced at Claire's!?

I was impressed by the Claire's in my local mall actually!. The person who pierced both my daughters' ears was really skilled, the area was extremely clean, all of the equipment was either in sterile packaging or cleaned right in front of me!. She was was very calm and capable, she did my 2yo both ears at once!. Then she did my 8mo one ear at a time, she warned me that she would do one ear then then other without stopping to make it faster and easier on everyone!. The earrings are 14k white gold, they stay on, the kids don't get any infections and I am very satisfied!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There is no way to sterilize the gun that is used to pierce at Claire's!. True, it does not actually touch the skin, but still that is gross!. Go to a piercing place where the people do this for a living and it is not something they do between selling cheap kiddie jewelry!.
My friend and I got helix piercings there at the same time and they both got bad infections!. I treated my on my own, but my friend had to get antibiotics!. My friend is a nurse and cleaned hers more than recommended and I cleaned my according to the directions given to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Judging from the times I've been in Claire's because of my sis, I would say that maybe they're not professionals that do the ear piercing, and you should get them pierced at a place that specializes in piercing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

because they are not professionals!.!. i know i got my ear pierced there and i got an infection!.!. and it really messed up my ear!.!. so dont get it done there!Www@Answer-Health@Com
