Question: How to get on a better sleep schedule!? Resetting your body clock!?
Im 13 and I usually go to bed around 4 5 6 AM because I cant fall asleep at a sensable time!. If I try to go to bed at 2 or 3 I lay in bed for a super long time!. I would like to go to bed at like 11 or 1 AM!. Please help me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Great question, I ran into this problem around that age too!. Good for you for not wanting to take sleeping pills!. Melatonin is a great natural sleep aid for many, as it is what your brain produces to make you fall asleep, but I had some crazy dreams when I took that, so I didn't even want to attempt any other sleeping pills!.

What worked for me was finding a distraction!. My mind just never wanted to shut down!. My siblings found that reading put them to sleep, but I found reading only increased my brain's hyperactivity!. However, I noticed couldn't stay awake while watching a movie I had seen before!. I knew what was going to happen in the movie, so I got bored and fell asleep!. I got a TV for my bedroom and to this day (almost a decade later) I put a familiar movie on every night when I go to bed!. Most nights, I'm asleep within half an hour!.

You just have to try some things out and see what works best for you!. Where you're looking to go to bed 5-7 hours earlier than normal for you, you may find that one night you'll need to not go to bed at all, then when 11 p!.m!. comes the following night you'll be so tired you should fall asleep fairly quickly!. Set your alarm for 8 or 9 a!.m!. to allow for 8-10 hours of sleep, and at 11 p!.m!. make sure you go to bed!. Keep at it until it becomes natural!. It'll take some time to adjust, but your body will thank you for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im 13 as well and i have had trouble falling to sleep also!. I would go to bed at like 1 AM but i would lay there until like 4 and i still couldn't sleep!. If you say Imma in your head over and over again without thinking of anything else you will eventually fall asleep!.

If Something else comes into your mind forget about it and just keep saying imma !.
