My grandma has to draw her blood every month so the doctor can monitor her and everything!. I think it's because too much blood are drawn from her and the blood is not flowing flexibly!. Yet she stil has to draw blood for the sake of her health!. Is there anything she can eat food-wise to help her gain back some blood or to make her blood flow more leisurely!? I'm looking for foods we can buy at the market like fruits and veggies or juice!. Are you talking about a small test tube of blood or a pint!?!?

Has she respiratory or heart problems - lack of oxygen can cause tiredness!.

If she is vegetarian, you could ask them to test for Vit B12, as when one gets older it is difficult to absorb!.

It all depends on what she is being monitored for!.

She should drink plenty of water [as we all should] as she could be a bit dehydrated without even feeling thirsty - so about eight glasses should be good - buy a pretty glass, as it makes the water taste better, pop some lime in or lemon!.

For bought fruit juices [wot, no juicer!?] pomegranate is very good but more expensive than other fruits!. Also yoghurts, the more natural the better, will assist in her getting her nutrition from her food!.

Also she should stop thinking that she feels tired, and try and visualise herself as a 21 year old!. If she thinks she gets tired, and you are albeit lovingly, confirming it - then tired is what she gets!.

Last but not least - communicate your concerns to the doctor!.

Best wishes to you, your grandma is lucky to have such a caring grandchild, and you too should try not to worry too much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like your grandmother has a low blood count, or Anemia (here is a link to the wikipedia article for Anemia: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Anemia) To prevent your grandma from getting too tired, have her eat foods rich in Vitamin D, such as fish like Tuna,Herring,Catfish,Salmon and Mackerel, and dairy products and mushrooms!. Good luck to her!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any types of foods with a high protein content will promote growth in blood vessels!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
