Why does swallowing hot food or soda cause me pain in my lower back and I faint?!

Question: Why does swallowing hot food or soda cause me pain in my lower back and I faint!?
About 2 years ago I was at work about to eat lunch!. I took a sip of Coke before eating and It felt like a swallowed a big rock that just say in my throat!. I got a bad pain in my lower back that kept getting worse!. It led to me getting dizzy and passing out for about 10 sec!. Naturally all my lunch fell on the floor from my elbow falling!. Same thing happened 6 months later with Steaming Mashed Potatoes that were way to hot!. I do have a seizure disorder but I was cured and med free for 2 years!. Now this happened and It was assumed I had seizures again!. Im still not totally convinced it was a seizure!. Any advice!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Doesn't sound like a seizure!. Swallowing soda too fast/hard can cause a pain all the way down!. I have never had a seizure disorder and this has happened to me too!. Swallowing very hot food will cause pain in your back as well!. Passing out could be a response for pain and the way you and your body percieves it!. You could panick and that could cause you to faint!. Or your bodys response to the pain would be to faint!. If your body is put into a, lets call, "preserve the body" mode!.!. it will shut down so it can send blood to vital organs and also fix the problem!. This would be pretty exaggerated and not necessary, but the body feels it was!. Next time this happens and you feel faint, (however avoid swallowing soda in large quantities/too fast and wait for your food to cool) try sitting down and placing your head between your legs for a few minutes to avoid fainting!. However usually a good burp works just as well!. Just don't panick the pain in your back is normal when you swallow too hard or eat steaming hot food!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
