Please help, I'm scared?!

Question: Please help, I'm scared!?
Hi I am twelve years old and I had to get a bone scan a while ago!.
The hospital called us and said that they also found a "hot spot" on my upper left part of my skull!.
So I got an x-ray, and the results came back with "no abnormalties"!. So the next step is probably a CT Scan!.
If so, then why do I have a "hot spot"!? What excactly IS a hot spot!? What can "hot spots" do!?!?!?
Please, someone, ANYONE out there, I'm scared!. Please let me know what's wrong!.

God Bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There just running test on you like they would at a dentists office!. Each of these scans and pictures shows something different!. the one they did on the bones shows inside the bone, usualy the bone marrow, and blood inside them!. the x-ray shows the bone from the outside without the fleshy parts, such as muscle, or organs!. A CT scan, shows the fleshy parts the x-ray doesn't like the muscle and fat, and organs!. A 'hot spot' would refer to anything that didn't look normal on the first scan!. The x-ray not showing anything would narrow down what the 'hot spot' (area of intrest) is, becuase it didn't show up on that!. ie things that would show up on the x-ray can be crossed off the list because nothing showed up!. The CT scan is just the next step!. Another abnormality in that spot on the CT scan would call for more test to see what the first abnormality was!. The next step would probebly be, if they did not allready do, a simple blood test!. Anything that shows up on the blood test would require more looking into, and more tests, until they narow down what this abnormality could be!. If they reach a point where something doesn't make sense, they'll go back to the first scan, and see if it's still there!. If they find nothing, then it was either a mistake, or something that just went away!. If it's still on the scan, then they will look into it still!.
It's just a progression, i would recomend you just stay relaxed, and go about life as normal!. Untill they give you any kind of diognosis, you can only assume that your healthy!. And almost anything thay can diognose you with can be cured!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could just be an infection which is not a big deal, it does have the possibility of being a tumor but at your age I would assume it to be benign, which means it is not cancerous, Try not to worry about it, and ask you doctor to explain everything to you!. if you have questions don't hesitate to ask them, regardless of what is going on up their try to keep a positive outlook on life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
