Question: Goin To California soon for Vacation!. Earthquake!?
i'm going to LA soon for vacation for a week and the earthquake today has got me thinking, what if the big one which has been overdue for quite some time now happens within the week i'm there!. yea, i know that theres a very small chance that this would happen but i cant help but to think about it!. anybody have some info on the earthquake!? like how hard it would hit LA, if there would be some sort of evacuation before the earthquake, or anything!.

I wouldn't worry about it!. Everyone in California is very well-prepared for an earthquake should one happen!. The odds, like you said, really are very low, and even if an earthquake did happen, they're really not as bad as they sound!. Just stand under a door frame or table and you'll be fine!. In LA the earthquakes don't hit hard at all, San Francisco is where you really have to worry about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Don't worry!. I live in LA and honestly, I don't think you should worry about it!. The earthquake today wasn't that bad and the chances of another one happening any time soon are very slim!. Sure, we may have to worry about a big earthquake coming in the near future, but I highly, highly doubt it will be even close to when you are in Ca!. However, in the off chance there is an earthquake, there are designated evacuation centers all over the place for you to go to!. They have it covered!.

I was born and raised in Cali ( live in Oregon now)!. We thought the Northridge quake in 94 was the big one but it wasn't!. It was scary and the worst one I had been through throughout my life there ( of course as a little girl the sylmar quake of 71 felt like the big one)!. Anyway there is no way to tell when it will happen and so that is the chance you take in California!. When I go back to visit my family I am always nervous about it and just try never to be on or under a bridge (freeway) for too long and I always have my purse and keys ready by the door!.
Oh and make sure to wear pj's to bed , that was horrible trying to find clothes in the dark during aftershocks!.

i live in so cal!. we have the san andreas fault running up and down the coast we havent gotten an earthquake for 14 years until today!. they dont come that often !. LAX is suffering from some damage right now but there usually good about others safety so youll be alright!. we are supposed to have this big aftershock though so be cautiousWww@Answer-Health@Com
