Lymph nodes can become swollen from infection, inflammatory conditions, an abscess , or cancer!. Other causes of enlarged lymph nodes are rare!.

If you have discovered a pea-sized or bean-sized node (smaller than ? inch), this is a normal lymph node!.

Most often, lymph nodes swell and become inflamed as a result of an infection!.

WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE
See your doctor if you're concerned or if your swollen lymph nodes:

Continue to enlarge
Feel hard or fixed
Are accompanied by fever, night sweats or unexplained weight loss
Are red, warm and tender

Don't worry!. May God bless you with good health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My opinion is that it would be normal because you have had a surgical trauma and the stress of that is compromising your normal immunity!. It is possible that you have an infection but assuming you have no other symptoms I would relate it to having the plate and screw removed!. If the inflammation doesn't go down within a few days or you feel other symptoms then see your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's normal but couldn't hurt to mention it to your PCP!. Did they give you antibiotics!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
