If you supposedly can't get sick from being cold.....?!

Question: If you supposedly can't get sick from being cold!.!.!.!.!.!?
It seems like everytime I go to bed in a very cold house or go outside without proper warmth, I sneeze and often end up with a sore throat!. Also, these things often lead to colds!. Being cold always leaves me with that "I'm about to get sick" feeling, and the slightest draft makes me sneeze!. Does this happen to anyone else!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Being cold is causing those symptoms (e!.g!. runny nose due to cold environment) what you are experiencing is the chills!. The "common cold" that we describe only applies to the virus but when you get cold the actual symptoms you are experiencing is the body's reaction to the cold rather than the virus!. And that happens all the time!. Getting that sick feeling is typical of most people because they believe they are getting sick but instead it is the body's reaction to the changes in temperature (e!.g!. your blood thickening) And that happens all the time to me it is normal for me to wake up and sneeze 5-10 times without any draft!. People are all different and some people are sneezing all the time and others never sneeze!. The body is most efficient at a comfortable temperature, but the immune system weakens at a lower temperature that is giving you that weary feelingWww@Answer-Health@Com

While the cold in and of itself does not actually make you sick, it does lower your body's immune reactions (everything is so concentrated on getting you warmed up again), so it can lead to you getting sick!.

Being cold at night when your systems are trying to rest can be very exhausting for your body!.

Make sure to keep warm, wear a sweater or hat to bed if you have toand definitely dress warmly when going out in the cold!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are cold, your immune system doesn't fuction at its best!. If you body is experiencing temperatures of less than 37 degrees C, other parts of your body may not fuction at their best as well!. This may be what that feeling is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It s not the fact that your cold, Its your bodies defenses that are letting down as a result of being cold!. It dooes happen to me, but it usually goes away in a few daysWww@Answer-Health@Com
