its not very hard!. the first time you go in you get a complete physical!. the total process including donating takes about 3 hours!. After the first time, its pretty simple!. they check your iron level and pulse ask a few questions, and then you are in to donate!. It only take about 1 hour to an hour and a half depending on how fast your body lets it!. The donating process is a lot like donating blood!. they stick the needle in your arm arm and remove the blood!. Then it goes through this machine and it separates the plasma!. the cool part is that after every 10-15 minutes, they put the nutrients found in plasma back into your body!. its at room temparture so it feels cold going in and tingly!. they just keep repeating this process until your plasma bag is full and then you are done!. you go collect your money and leave!. You will be screened, and weighed first!. If you pass the screening, you will rhen be taken to an area where they will stick a needle into you, and your blood will be taken, as it is taken it goes into a machine, which spins the plasma off!. As it is doing that, your blood is being given back to you!.
After the procedure is completed, you are paid!.
Your plasma is then given to another area where they will draw some samples off, and send those off to be screened for HIV, Hepattis, Protein, etc!.
If you get a letter in approx!. 1 week to come back in, you know something was wrong with your sample!. You wont have to give the money back, you will just be put into a national database that will no longer allow you to donate plasma!.
