CNA certificate & nursing career question(s)?!!

Question: CNA certificate & nursing career question(s)!?!
I am going to start classes in Sept!. for CNA hopefully!. I want to eventually go further in nursing!. When I get my CNA license can i start college for a LPN/LVN!? Work while in school, or do you have to have so many months/years experience!? Is a APRN (advanced practice registered nurse) the highest you can go!? Can someone tell me how many years this courses take!? Also I did homeschooling the last few years of my High school due to pregnancy and illnesses, will this hurt me in advancing my careers in nursing!. I have heard some colleges will not accept homeschooling transcripts etc!. Thanks in advance and sorry so long!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Getting your CNA license is a great start!. It will help you to decide if this is something you really want to do!. Nursing is a challenging and difficult career!. It is not for everyone!. Most LPN/LVN schools are 2 years long!. If you want to eventually be an APRN then you will also need to get your bachelors degree in nursing!. After you have your RN then you can continue onto your masters degree in whatever advanced practice area you are interested!. Total to get there!.!.!.6years!. I am an RN!. I was a CNA first!. THen I went straight for my bachelors and was never an LPN!. This worked well for me!. I am not sure about the homeschooling thing!. I have never heard of this being a barrier to getting into college!. ANother thing!.!.!.nursing school is competitive and depending on where you are from it can be hard to get in!. You need to have at least a 3!.0 average to even be considered for most nursing programs!. Nursing is great though!. I have been an RN for 5 years and I make almost 70,000 a year!. I live in an area where cost of living is pretty low, so wages aren't as high as some other areas!. It is a pretty comfortable living for my lifestyle, but like I said, nursing is not for everyone!. It can be really really hard!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
