Different prednisone names!

My dog is and has been on prednisone on and off for the last few years for severe allergy problems!. Sometimes he gets APO prednisone and sometimes he gets NOVO prednisone!. I keep forgetting to ask the vet, they both do the same thing and are both in 5mg doses!. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has any idea what the difference is between APO and NOVO!. the novo pills are larger, but the same dosage!. I do plan to ask the vet next time I'm there, I just thought I would ask while the question was fresh in my mind, otherwise I'll forget again lol!.
