How do you know if your kid has the flu or if he just got car sick?!
Question: How do you know if your kid has the flu or if he just got car sick!?
We were drivin down to the mall and he said "my throat hurts!." before we left then a little into the drive he said, "my stomach feels like it has too much food!." we are unsure if he just got car sick or has the flu because he was playing a handdhelp leapfrog video game before he got sick so we think that might have triggered it!. Can anyone help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If he has the flu he will develop a temperature and muscle cramps and feel very lethargic!.
If he is car sick he will probably vomit and then feel better!.
In either case, the best initial treatment is rest, being kept warm (but not overheated) and PLENTY OF FLUIDS, (water is safest)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a doctor, but I am a mother of two!. In my experience, the flu would last much longer than one day and you son would experience more than one vomiting episode!. I would definitely suggest you get something like Pedialyte to replenish his electrolytes, give him medicine if he has a fever, give him soup or something light to eat, and I would call his doctor to try to get in an office visit (if that's an option)!. Well, aside from the fact that if he has the flu he'll probably vomit again when he's not in the car, the most obvious way to tell would be to wait and see if he spikes a fever, becomes lethargic, or loses his appetite for multiple meals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

car sick it mostly vomiting, flu is vomiting, soar throute, stomach pain, head ache, fever, ect!.!.!.
