I am a medical assistant and I know for a fact he cannot refuse to release your medical records, you should have signed a release form allowing only you to say who can have a copy of your medical records!. The dr however is allowed to keep your hard copy of your records, but by law if you request them he has to give you a copy!. You may however have to pay a small fee for these records!. Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't think they would!. Especially if it means getting your claim processed and paid!. If you are facing this, try to request the records and send them to the insurance company yourself!.

Hope this helps!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask the Board that certifies your doctor and let the doctor know you are asking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
