Does deodorant actually work?!

Some do and some just cover the odor!.!.!.ultimately making it worse!. The best deodorant I found was one that contained an antiperspirant and a powder!. However, I have not been able to find any lately that had powder!. The antiperspirant keeps down perspiration which bacteria need to multiply!. It is bacteria that causes the odor!. The powder dries up the perspirant that does occur!. Most all deodorants today have the antiperspirant!. I believe Mitchum deodorant was the first to use it!. Other, older, deodorants used alcohol to kill the bacteria (which quickly reformed) and a perfume to cover the odor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Deodorant kills bacteria that make sweat smelly!. Initially, sweat does not smell!. But there is bacteria which thrives in hot, humid areas (such as a sweaty, hairy armpit), which somehow makes the odorless sweat become stinky (how, I don't know)!. Deodorant (whatever it's made of) kills these bacteria by inhibiting growth (antiseptic action!)!.So that means it does obviously workWww@Answer-Health@Com

if you use it to prevent sweating, youre going to want to make sure the canister says "anti-perspirant" on it!. otherwise, its just used to make the smell go away!.

best deodorant depends on the wearer, as everyone's body works differently!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends what you want out of your deodorant haha!. If you get an anti-perspirant, this will help prevent sweat!. If you get normal deodorant, it's normally a cover-up smell where, when you sweat, you'll just smell more like the deodorant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
