Question: What causes adult drooling at night, while sleeping!?
This has just recently started happening to me,
I wake up to a wet spot on my pillow, my beard is full of caked on saliva, why!?
What causes an adult to drool at night, while sleeping!?
Anyone know what causes it!?

It may be a two or more psychological issues!.
Could be as simple as nasal/sinus issue preventing you from nose breathing so you open up you mouth during sleep to compensate!. Of course the nasal congestion, post nasal drip, etc!., could be the culprit!.
Now the more complicated issue is related to sleep!. Psychologically, the body become parlyzed during the deepest phase of sleep--REM!. The paralysis causes a lack of muscle tone and alot of related things go on from there including irregular heart beat and breathing to lower body temp and a host of other things!.
I agree the best advice is a sleep specialist!. If you can't find one listed under sleep medicine, try looking under sleep lab or call an ENT physician!.

you're probably in a really deep sleep when you are drooling!. your mouth is open and you dont swallow in your sleep, so it drools out of your mouthWww@Answer-Health@Com
It's simply your mouth muscles relaxing, thus letting saliva flow out of your mouth!Www@Answer-Health@Com
