I hear ticks when I sleep...!

Question: I hear ticks when I sleep!.!.!.
I was sleeping in my bed with my head between my pillows when I heard a tick-like sound that was kind of like a pulse!. I thought it was my watch, which was beneath the pillow since I keep my arm there, so I took it off!. It continued, so I took my arm out completely!. It still continued!.

Then after a few other experiments I concluded I could only hear it when pressure was applied to my ears (Which was where my pillows both were)!. It also happened to both ears as long as I had enough pressure applied!. After a while I think I figured out where it originated, which was a place where I could feel it pulsing with my fingers!. Look at the picture in the link below:
http://www!.nlm!.nih!.gov/medlineplus/ency/!.!.!.
Okay, the place I found it is within the triangular area between the tragus, preauricular skin pit, and preauricular skin tag!. It's on both ears!.

Now I determined it pulses just after my neck's pulse, and about the same time as the pulse on my wrist!. So, my question is, is the sound I hear and feel near my ear my pulse!? If not, do you have any idea what it is!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, it's your pulse!. It is common to be able to hear your own pulse when it's very quiet (i!.e!. while trying to sleep)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
