Question: My girlfriends coughing up blood!? help!
she said its happened a few times, and today on aim she said she just coughed up blood!. (we live an hour apart) she's calling an ambulance, what could be wrong!? im worried!. she hasnt had any surgeries in the past, she used to have an addiction to pain pills and asprin for a very long time, though!. :( she still takes them every nite to sleep but not as much, idk im worried!. what could be wrong!? could that have something to do with it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That sounds bad, it maybe that smoking is really affecting her lungs in a bad way!. But please don't worry, i'm sure she will be ok!. My mum ia nurse and i will ask if she knows what this is!.

Aspirin can cause bleeding in the stomach if you can't tolerate it, also drugs, (too many) can cause blood to come up!. Other reasons, of course, are tuberculosis, ulcers, (which it has a good chance of being)!. I doubt that abilify or zoloft had anything to do with it but they could have irritated her stomach lining enough to cause her to have ulcers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
