my eye doctor told me that a person can start wearing contact lenses at the age of 9 because at that age their eyes are concidered to be adult eyes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There really is not an age limit!. However, contact lenses come with a certain degree of work and therefore responsibility!. I know kids as young as 12 who are mature enough to handle the daily care of contacts and have done a great job!. I know adults who aren't as responsible and end up with eye infections! Just be careful - your sight is very important!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Old enough to care for them responsibly, including insertion, extraction and cleaning!. It varies from person toperson, but my daughter got them at 11!. The doctor originally thought she was too young, but when he was told that everyone else in the family already wore contacts, and that she was familiar with tehm, he gave them to her!. I don't think there is any particular age at which you can begin wearing them!. It would be up to your optometrist to tell you if you need them or if your eyes would be compatible with them!.
