Would this classify as hypersomnia?!
Question: Would this classify as hypersomnia!?
Okay, I am 26 years old and have had this problem since I was about 18 or 19!. I am considered overweight (not by much), but I work out 3 days a week!. I eat healthy, don't smoke, drink occasionally and no unusual medications!. And yet, I cannot seem to stop oversleeping!.
I've tried going to bed earlier, I work out hard to get myself tired, I have a prescription sleep aid, iwhich worked for a little while, but I always revert to sleeping too late!. I set my alarms and sleep through them, I can't even seem to function enough to register the time on the clock!. I do eventually get up, but it takes forever to get moving!. I will hit the alarm without realizing it, get out of bed to silence the cat, who I think is trying to help me by scratching furniture :), but I always go back to sleep!. Once I do finally get moving, I'm fine!.
My supervisor has spoken to me a few times already and I've explained that I'm doing everything I can!. I feel tired during the day and want to take a nap, but also feel too restless to nap!. My doctor thinks I might have bu, but what can I do!? My job, while not in jeopardy, is suffering because I'm not around when people call me in the morning!.
What should I do!? Should I go to bed even earlier!? How can I make my brain and body both wake up the right way!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
