Question: Is it possible to have diarrhea for a really long time, like a year and not be something serious!?
My husband has had this problem for a really long time but he doesn't want to see a doctor!. He smokes a lot so I am worried it is something serious!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

My bf smokes and he has diarrhea all the time too! It keeps him up all night and he eats the same stuff he always has!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

depending on how bad it is!. if its not too bad (which is probably the case because if it was , he'd be dehydrated) then its probably IBS, which sadly has no cure!. But IBS is very, very common (irritable bowel syndrome) and can come on worse when nervous/anxious!.
It is likely to be this, or something else not-so-serious, because if it was serious he'd be very dehyrdrated and on a drip by now!. But I think you should go to the doctor to check if it is any of these things - it may be easily curable!

No, he really needs to go to the doctor!. Smoking does create this affect sometimes, but if he doesn't get this taken care of, he'll keep himself dyhraded and that isn't good!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
