Answers:
Can't speak for the liver, but I know that you feel like Hell when the kidneys shut down! In this case there is pain in the small of your back!. I understand that liver failure casues abdominal pain!.

In most cases they won't shut down completely, unless you are SERIOUSLY ill!. Kidneys and liver can shut down from physical damage (a car accidnet), poisoning, or certain diseases like diabetses or alcoholism!.

Partial failure will make you feel really tired!. If the kidneys fail, there are certain toxins that build up in your system -- that makes you feel tired!. The kidneys also regulate how much red blood cells you produce, so when the kidneys fail you produce less red blood cells(anemia) and that makes you tired, too!.

The kidneys also regulate certain chemical in the body like potassion and phosphorus!. Too much potassium in your system can make your heat beat irregular, and possibly cause a heart attack!. Too much phosphorus in your bsystem means your bones are getting weak!.

The liver serves a similar function!. If it start to fail, you will notice that your eys and skin start to turn yellow (jaundice)!. I can only guess that as the liver fails and no longer does its filtering, that you will feel tired and sick, too!.

Completel failure of either organ will kill you!.
