Question: Can a sinus infection cause pain in buttocks!?
For the last 24 hours, I have had this dull pain in the muscles of my buttocks!. It hurts quite a bit when I walk, and to touch!. I have also had a runny nose and sneezing for a while from the winter cold!. I often get sinusitis in winter!. Would this pain be caused by sinusitis!? I really dont want antibiotics but will see a doctor if it doesnt get better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The sinusitis will not cause the pain in your buttocks but they are related!. They are both symptoms of a flu virus!. Aching muscles are very common in the flu, and sinusitis is an secondary infection you get when your sinuses get blocked while they are trying to clear out the virus!. Some people are more prone to getting infected sinuses than others due to the width of the sinus passages!. Most flu's will sort themselves out in a week and do not respond to antibiotics!. If you still feel the same by the second week, you may have a secondary infection that your doctor could prescribe antibiotics for!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

winter!? ok!.!.!. guessin you are very far away but back to what you asked!.!.!. Im not sure!. but normally when you have the flu, a could, or something of that sort your body gets sore and your muscles ache so that could be the causeWww@Answer-Health@Com
