Question: What happens to phlegm when you swallow it!?
I know this is a little disgusting, but I think everyone has been in this situation at one point or another!. You feel a large amount of phlegm building up in your throat, so you get ready to hock it, but then someone comes up to you (like your mom, your girlfriend, or boss, etc!.) and you aren't in a position to spit it out gracefully, so you swallow it!. My question is what happens next!? Does it go into your stomach!? Does your body digest it!? Inquiring minds would like to know!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it collects in your digestive tract till it makes a plug and has to be suctioned out through your nose!.

I'm not sure what happens to it but it's definately better to spit it out!. It'll make you feel better
