First of all do you want to have children and "know" you can't!? Or is just the idea of being sterile the issue!? How much medical research has been done on your personal case!? You don't need a CF clinic for this one; you need to make an appointment with an urologist!. Throw the out dated CF medical textbook away and know that you might be able to have children if you want!.
My husband with CF and I have two biological children - all natural!. We have a brother in law with CF and had one child without any infertility assistance!. Don't "assume" because someone has CF they can't become fathers!. Many a CF father found out he had CF through the diagnosis of his child!. My father in law (with CF) had seven children before his first child was diagnosed at age 32!. Two of his seven childen (both sons) were diagnosed with two CF markers - meaning they had CF!. Both of these sons with CF had children (three children between the two) - one of the three children had CF!.
If you want to have children you have many options which can be successful in bringing into your life the children you want!. People with CF are living longer and typical lives!. Don't buy into the "can't" and what if attitude!. If you are able and willing to go after this and are responsibly ready and financially able to support children go for it!.

That is a terrible predicament to be in!. Living with CF alone is difficult, but also knowing that you are sterile because of it, is devastating as well if you really would like to have children!.
The options are getting a sperm donor for your spouse or adoption!. While I don't have CF, I know many people that do!. One of them adopted 2 girls (sisters) just months before his double lung transplant!. He says that they are the joy of his life and that they are what makes him keep going!.
If I were in your shoes, I would go the adoption route!. The sperm donor thing is just too weird for me, even though it would be half of my spouse, it is just weird!. =] never worry about condoms! Also i do know what CF is, but think of it this way don't think of the things you can't do and think of the things you can do!. The cups only half empty if you look at it that way!. There plenty of kids out there that need a home and that you can call your own!. Doesn't matter if it comes from your sperm or someone else's!.
