Part of being a good owner is doing whats best for your loving friend and if taking the leg off is what you feel is best then by all means do it your vet is not always saying whats best in each case he gives his opinion and you take the information and do your best in your decision!.Be happy and thanks for being a responsible owner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had to put my dog down last fall!. He was 8 years old!. He was a terrier!. He also had cancer!. Although he was still lively enough, I heard him whimper a few times and that was enough!. Why let him suffer!? You will be spending lots and lots of money and the dog will have to be put down anyways!. It's a very hard decision to make, but make it for the dog!.!.!.don't let him suffer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ah,

I'm so so sorry about your dog!.

I don't know the answer!.I hope your dog is happy while it is here and it does not suffer too much!.

I had cancer myself last year!.

I think the most important thing is to be sure the dog does not suffer!. You will miss it!.!.!.

I'm sorry!.

Get at least two other opinions from two other vet hospitals!. I don't remember anything about larger breeds not dealing with amputations, I'd think a happy gimp-dog is better than cancer infecting her whole body!. She IS also 8, it is toward the end of the line for her!.!.!.!.Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I feel so sorry for you!. My dog had cancer too!.
It WILL eventually spread, & may even do so even if you amputate!.
I know it's hard, but you should seriously consider putting her to sleep!. Bone cancer is VERY Painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if she runs well with only three legs then it sounds like the fourth leg is just in her wayWww@Answer-Health@Com
