Question: Do I have to touch mouth to mouth in a CPR class!?
I live in Canada and I am taking a CPR class!. Do I actually have to touch mouths with another person!? I am just getting over a cold sore and don't want to pass it on or get something from someone else!.

Answers:
You will practice some skills with another person- but they only involve limited contact with hands!.
When it comes to the breathing and CPR skills, you will work on a manikin that was prepped before you use it, and you will use a face mask and gloves, and disinfect it between uses!.
We teach thousands of people a week, and have the art of keeping people safe and healthy to a science! :-)

Well, when I took it we worked on a dummy!. There are "shields" you can buy!. (I have one somewhere!.) But I recall reading that "mouth to mouth" was being discontinued with CPR!.
