Well the nurse with 25 years experience is dumber than a box of rocks!. The reason people take vitamins and minerals is because we live in a society that has depleted their soil so much from over planting that the food that we eat is lacking minerals and vitamins!.

Vitamins will cause gas and any person that says otherwise is a moron!. More than likely the gas is from 1!. The vitamins are synthetic and your system is not breaking them down 2!. You do not have digestive enzymes enough in your body to break down the vitamins 3!. You have over used vitamins and your body doesnt need them!.

Vitamins should be taken in the morning and minerals should be taken in the evening!. If you mix the two you will have gas because of the energy in the capsule!.

Make sure your vitamin or mineral breaks down in a glass of water within 20 minutes!. If it doesnt it is synthetic and shouldnt be put in your body at all!. ALso you can tell by the ingredients on the package!. If it takes half the bottle to explain whats in it in terms of chemicals then it is not good for you!.

Veggies and fruits are good examples of nutrition that has vitamins!. When you eat certain veggies and fruits you will fart!.

Im sorry but I cant believe a nurse of 25 years would even write such a post! Use your dang head!

Furthermore DETOXING DOES exist in the medical world!. Even Dr Oz on Oprah talks about , along with Dr Andrew Wiel!. Get a grip nurse from hell! I get so sick of nurses because they are the biggest hypocrodriacs I have ever seen and they always think they know more than drs and everyone else for that matter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK, three issues here!.

First up the body does not detoxify!. This process does not exist in the medical world, it is an invention of the marketing world to persuade people who don't know better to spend their money!. Detox diets, detox medicines, detox health farms are a cruel sham!. Most people who say that they did a detox of some sort and felt sooo o o much better are only justifying their actions, who wants to look an idiot when you've spent money on it!.

Vitamins do NOT cause excessive flatulence!. Some Vit B tablets smell strongly but that is unrelated to smells from the bowels!.

All flatulence smells bad!. If you have flatulence that smells good then get along to the Guinness Record Book, they may be interested in you!!

Flatulence is caused by the gas produced by the millions and millions of bacteria that live in your lower bowel!. These little critters are essential for the later stages of digestion, especially processing fibre, but they produce gas and it has to go somewhere!. Have you been eating more fibre lately!?

I have no wish to tell you what to do, this is a free(ish) world!. But my knowledge and experience tells me that excess vitamins have a very small health benefit if you are eating a normal, wide choice diet!. Excess Vit!. C is passed out by the kidneys as is some Vit B!. Taking excess fat soluble vitamins like A, D and E can actually harm your health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some vitamins can cause excessive flatulence!. Vitamin B has a very strong smell so if that is what you are taking then that may account for the smell!. Why are you taking so many vitamins anyway you really should get all the vitamins you need with a healthy balanced diet therefore you really shouldn't need to take any extra supplementsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, especially when you are getting alot of B vitamins and fiber!. You should have slowly increased your dosages so your body could get used to them!. You might need to eat some yogurt with live bacteria or take a probiotic for a while, but I would suggest lowering your dosages until things settle down and then slowly increase themWww@Answer-Health@Com
