Do back braces really work?!

Question: Do back braces really work!?

I have to wear a back brace for 18 hours a day, but I just can't wear it for that long without working out and going to school and stuff!. My back already has a lump on it! I heard I shouldn't get back surgery, but I feel the brace will never get my back, back to normal! Should I opt for the surgery!? Or should I wait a year, which is how long the doctor prescribed it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

it really depends on why you need a brace!. typically they can weaken you back muscles, so i'm wondering if you're even getting any physical therapy to keep you as strong as possibleWww@Answer-Health@Com
