How can I become a morning person?!


Question: How can I become a morning person!?
I wake up every morning very unhappy either woken up by an alarm clock or not!. I feel icky and its very hard for me to get going for at least an hour!. Also I have a 3 and 4 year old to take care of as soon as I get up!. HELP!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Set you alarm clock to play a soothing radio station instead of the buzz the alarm clock normally makes!. Also go to bed earlier or at the same time every day!. Make sure you have at least one hour to yourself before your children get up!. If that means setting your clock one hour earlier and making coffee, then that is what you have to do!. If you put your kids down around 8 or 9 at night, they shouldn't get up until 7 or 8 the next morning!. You should aim to get up between 6 and 7 in the morning to have that hour to yourself before you have to see the kiddos!. I think that is the main reason you wake up icky, not enough time to yourself and perhaps staying up too late at night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's a tough one!. Being a mom of 3 and my youngest almost 6 now it's still hard for me at times!. It all depends on their mood and their willingness to work with you and how much sleep you had the night before!. There are a lot of things that can not make you a morning person!. Some people are just not morning people!. You may want to change your evening rituals to help you get better sleep at night making it easier for you to wake up in the morning and take on the day in a happier mood!. Try some light exercise or meditation, reading a book before bed or listening to some relaxing music, maybe a warm bath!. Try to stay off the computer because if you're anything like me, 30 minutes can turn into hours and my mind will get caught up surfing on the web!. Take some extra time the evening before to get their stuff taken care of (lunch, clothes for the next day) so you don't have to worry about it in the morning!.

Stress and lack of sleep are big contributors to your mood!. Make sure you take time for you on ocassion!. Mommies need to take care of themselves too!. I don't know your situation but make a date with your significant other or with some girlfriends a couple of nights a month!. It will give you something to look forward to as well!. Your babies are at that age that demand a lot out of you so it's not unusual to feel the way you do!. Just know it gets easier as they get older!. Not sure how useful my advise is but I feel your pain and it will get better! Keep your chin up and keep doing the great job I'm sure you're doing with those babies!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
