I was under it twice in two days almost 2 weeks ago, a wed and a friday, one for a gallstone removal surgery and then a gallbladder removal surgery!. It can be dangerous but so many people do it every day!. As with every surgery there is risks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your anesthesiologist is as important, if not more so, that your surgeon!. Check him or her out carefully and you do not have to accept any one they give you in the hospital!. You can request the one you want!. You can also request the actual MD not the Nurse Anesthetist who is under his supervision!. It is your body and you have the right to choose who you have to treat you!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've had at least 10 surgeries under general anes!. The only problem I've had was a side effect (not allergic reaction) to compazine (anti-nausea)!. In recovery I was trapped in a place where I couldn't wake up all the way, but I couldn't stay asleep either & it made me really panicky!. I didn't know it was that drug until I was given it again & instant panic attack!. I list it as an allergy!. Funny, it does the same thing to my mom!.
I work for Doctors & we make it as safe as possible!. It's a scary thing even for people that work around it & know about it!.

it certainly can be, my fiance had back surgery & actually died on the table, Thank God they brought him back!. I think alot of the risk comes with what procedure you are having done!.!.!. the more drastic the procedure, the more risk from the stress!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had several of these!. Recently I had 2 "generals" in one day for a total of 10 hours "under" that day!. I don't have any problems relating to the anaesthesia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
