the tablets im taking say i cant take MAOI because its fatal so i would like to know what MAOI is!.

MAOI or Nardil or Parnate, is an antidepressant used for depression or phobias!.
You need a prescription for it so I wouldn't worry about taking it by accident since your doctor's check interferences and tell you the information you need to know with all medicines before prescribing you with medication!.

MAOI's Monoamine oxdase inhibitors !. these should contain a patient information leaflet or your doctor should have explained before prescribing!. There is an ingredient in certain food stuffs & some drugs ( tyramine)that can cause an interaction with the MAOIs, causing a sudden rise in blood pressure!.!.!.check with your doc as to what you need to avoidWww@Answer-Health@Com
