Could there be positive affect to genetic alteration due to radiation!.You know, nuclear or some other thing in the world that has the effect of changing you genetics causing defects!. I want to know if there is or was ever a positive one or one that wasn't good or bad but was just there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well, the whole theory of evolution rests upon the assumption that some genetic mutations have positive effects!.

But, despite test after test with simple organisms (fruit flies, worms and other critters) no one has ever produced a genetic mutation that was clearly beneficial!.

There have been experiments done where certain gene segments are spliced together to create certain changes in an organism, but that's not the sort of random mutation due to natural causes that you're asking about!.

So, to answer your question - it's theoretically possible, but extraordinarily unlikely!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
