How do I stay awake longer?!

Question: How do I stay awake longer!?
For various reasons I want to stay awake longer!. This may sound crazy, but I would like to be able to function with only 3-4 hours of sleep!. Right now, I sleep about 6-7 hours!.
I know all of the benefits of sleeping 8 hours, so I am not interested in people telling me I need to sleep more!.

What are some tips or advice for cutting my sleeping time down and still being able to function and think properly!?

(I eat good breakfasts and exercise almost daily, so I want to maintain my health as well!.)

Thank you! :)

Staying up longer gets really draining after awhile!.!.!.!. The first week it seems fine, but it gets harder and harder after that (at least for me!.!.!.)!. Then after a few weeks you start to get used to it, and it only becomes a mediocre-hard!. I have only had random bursts of needing to stay up longer, but then I go back to my old pattern of 6-8 hours of sleep!.!.!.So, I'm not sure how much I can help, but I'll still try! :D

There are some things I did to keep me awake during those times!.!.!.

Try brushing your teeth or washing your face with cool water when you feel tired!. Another quick way to wake yourself up is to stick a metal spoon in the freezer for a short while, and then close your eye and put the back of the cold spoon underneath your eye for a few seconds (it sounds retarded, but it can wake you up fast!.!.!.it also helps wake you up if you need to get up really early and feel like a zombie!.!.!.)

Also, if you find yourself falling asleep or if you feel like your brain has stopped, try getting up and dancing to something lively! That seems to give me a ton of random energy that I didn't know I had!.!.!.

!.!.!.these are just some quick fixes that work for me!.!.!. caffeine works wonders as an energy booster tho!.!.!.But you said that you didn't want that!.!.!.which is good!. It gives me a bad headache!.!.!. x_+

Staying awake is hard on your body!.!.!.if you can create at least one day in the week that you can use to catch up on some sleep, you might be able to sustain your new sleeping pattern a little bit longer and easier!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am curious as to why you would like to do something so drastic, but here are some pointers!. Eat less!. Eating requires lots of energy and most people eat much more than they need to!. Eat foods with vitamin C!. Also eat blue berries and such things with antioxidants in them to help protect you organs from damage due to lack of repair during sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well from four to six is two hours!. so for 4 days go to bed a half an hour later than usual and then work you way down to 4 hours!. and stay active during the day so you have no chances for naps or accidentally falling asleep!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, whenever you feel the need to sleep, keep yourself busy, put some music on, or the tv!. Even better go out :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try meditating once a week for 30 min, eat well and exercise a little bit (not too much) a day!. It will take a few months to adapt but the meditation will make up for lack of sleep, read some articles on how to properly do it otherwise you'll just be wasting your time!. Over time you can find yourself living off of 4 hours or less of sleep!

Just so you know there is a Japanese sleep expert who studied and found out that if you sleep more than 6 hours a day you actually have less energy!. There are two sides to every argument so make an informed decision yourself rather then letting someone make it for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
