Hi, I have chronic iron deficiency anemia myself, I don't absorb the iron tablets so when I get low I just get iron infusions!. My iron deficiency was related to my heavy periods, so I went on Birth control pills to help slow the bleeding!. This method worked for me quite well, but there have been times that I drop low again for short periods of time!. As far as the anti inflammatory tablets go, they should not impact your anemia in any way, and you should be able to continue taking them as needed for your low back pain!. Hope this helps!. Ask your doctor if you can still take over-the-counter anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs)!.

NSAIDs can increase bleeding potential by decreasing the viscosity (or stickiness) of red-blood-cells!.

Also - note that NSAIDs can worsen the symptoms of allergies and asthma, especially if you are on an anti-leukotriene medication (a variation of anti-histamine)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They never had an effect on my anemia!. Have you tried going on birth control to reduce the bleeding during periods!? That's what he did for me, along with iron supplements and vitamins!. (I took ani inflammatories for the same reason, too!. I ruptured a disk in my spine)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
