What does it mean when one ear "cracks" at certain volumes/pitches?!

Question: What does it mean when one ear "cracks" at certain volumes/pitches!?
I will hear this "cracking" noise in my right ear at certain volumes or pitches!. I've mostly noticed it in the car when I have my music up!. The volume isn't up that high, but at a certain point I will hear something that sounds like static, and only in the right ear!. The static is continuous, and very annoying, as long as the volume or pitch is maintained!. Couldn't tell you what db level it's at!. Any thoughts!? Who do I go to to get it checked out!? Can I go to a general internal medicine doctor!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It's hard to say exactly what is going on!. You should go to an otolaryngologist who specializes in the ear (an otologist)!. It sounds like you may have some type of tinnitus!. The doctor may refer you other medical professionals such as, neurologists, audiologists, etc!. to evaluate you!. If you talk to your primary care physician he or she can direct you from there!. Good luck :-)
