Does shivering make a persons hair grow?!

Question: Does shivering make a persons hair grow!?
my girlfriend says that when she shivers it makes the hair on her legs grow!. it happens after she shaves!. is this possible!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, shivering is usually associated with the erection of bodily hair, which is probably what your girlfriend has noticed!. The hair is not growing 'longer' or 'quicker', it is simple standing up straight!. This is because the body is responding to a drop in external temperature and by raising the hair, more air becomes trapped between them!.

Actually, colder weather usually causes hair to grow slower so the body can preserve energy for other metabolic functions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hair is to keep you warmer so possibly thats why her body reacts that way!. I know anorexic women actually start to grow a lot of hair on their body after a while because their body is attempting to keep warm with such little body mass!. (Thats in extreme cases of anorexia that would be noticeable and apparent which I doubt she has)
~ Most likely she gets goose bumps when she shivers and the hair follicle gets exposed somewhat!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Idk but when I get cold the hair on my legs grows back too!.I don't even have to be shivery cold I just have to get goosebumps!.When I am on vacation and swimming alot , my hair grows back faster and my nails grow quicker!. This has always been a mystery to me too!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The same thing happens to me but I don't know exactly why this happens!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
