I'm having my ACL replaced Monday!. I was wondering what are
some easy to make (or don't have to make) foods that I would
buy for after surgery!?!? I don't want to be eating just snack foods

Answers:
You can and should get around a little bit after your surgery--you should take it easy, but you also don't want a waiter--you want to have to get up to get a drink!. (It is most important that you don't break the replacement ligament--it is basically dead and fragile after surgery, and your body will supply it with blood to bring it back to it's normal flexible state!. However, you also need to make sure you build flexibility at that time--so it is good to get off the couch every hour or so!.) So think of things that you don't have to babysit on the stove!. You could try microwaveable meals or meals you put in the oven, leave for a while and then take out!.

I think that one way to get a real meal is to bake it--get some chicken marinated, throw it in a pan and bake it!. All you need to do then is heat up some vegetables!. Spaghetti won't be perfect if you don't stir the noodles, etc!., but it will certainly be decent--you could get the water boiling, then come back and drop in your noodles and heat up some sauce and frozen meatballs at very low heat!. Steakums require less than five minutes standing!. You can microwave ground beef to use in burritos or just about anything!. Just lower your cooking standards a little and there is a lot you can make that doesn't keep you on your feet for too long!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
