How many years of residency does a surgeon have to do? ER doctor? trauma doctor?!

Question: How many years of residency does a surgeon have to do!? ER doctor!? trauma doctor!?
Answers:
General surgery is 5 years, you can specialize after that!. For instance, trauma surgery is an extra year after general, pediatric surgery is 2 years of research followed by 2 years of residency (after the 5 initial years mind you)!. I assume that trauma surgery is what you meant by 'trauma doctor'!. To specialize in Emergency medicine, I believe it is 4 years in the US, however I couldn't find a source on that!.

Keep in mind that this is all after your first 4 years of medical school, making trauma surgery a 10-year program!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All doctors endure 2-6 years of residency, depending on their specialty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
